An avan pou pi devan!
MICECC works with its mission partner, Haiti Outreach Ministries (HOM) as two separate entities that share the same goal of contributing to the social and economic well-being of the people of Haiti. Each entity has its own strategic plan in accordance with its socio-cultural context, which enables it to accomplish the shared vision with different partnership roles.
MICECC works in Cite Soleil, one of the poorest and most difficult places in Haiti. Our staff is under constant threat of violence, including kidnapping and robbery. There is an element of risk in every task and a crisis at the origin of everything we do.
Despite the challenges, MICECC has developed a relationship-based approach aiming at transforming the commune of Cité Soleil through provision of resilient opportunities and access to previously unattainable health services, basic formal education, college and vocational training and tuition, community heath, technology, community transformation, construction and innovation, etc.
HOM raises the funds needed to sustain the ministry while MICECC implements the vision and strategy of the ministry in Haiti.
